A thought occurred to me while planning the future arc for my character Si'Ni in my Fanfic The Revenants of Dark Earth' when Si'Ni finally encounters the earthling heroes a Cat-Mage Marzipan will cast a translation spell so they can hear what Si'Ni is saying and vice versa the Earthling would supposedly hear Si'ni's 'voice' as similar to whatever Nilam's Cultural Paradigm is...Originally I was imagining Si'Ni would sound like she has a Hindi Accent but now I'm not so sure...Could you tell me wha…

So...Entertainers of Various Kinds in Dardunah...Acrobats, Mummers, Singers, Dancers, Puppeteers, Storytellers, Fortune Tellers, In my mind my Danish Landrance Sow Character Si'Ni works as a Cook in her Family's Tea House but what she really wishes to be is a Storyteller but at the moment is resigned to the fact it could never be not only because of her many social faux pas caused by her Autism but she simply isn't good at public speaking (It isn't that Si'Ni is 'shy' or scared of public speakin…

Thinking more about non-Devah related stories Dardunah might have I'm wondering about what kind of fairy tales Janah might have for their children at bedtime. Re-watching the Brave Little Toaster (And remembering how much I love that movie) Thinking about the idea of 'the animated inanimate object' is not new in Japan they have a set of Mythological Creatures which are inanimate objects that come to life after existing for either one hundred or one thousand years

So re-reading the part of the book that deals with the ancient history of the Janah tears are one of the many gifts Great Mother and Father gave them and I'm asking myself if Snake Janah have no eyelids but scales over their eyes how do they cry?

This is all very great, but I do hope some of the art and fiction in the Magic and Martial Arts book features Animals introduced in the new book, so far we've only seen art and fiction featuring Zoics whose species templates were introduced in the first book

While I didn't want to spoil this detail before, I feel I will divulge it now because...I would like advice handling the delicate topic of how to write about rape and sexual assault from the various writers on this forum, so the Villainess Morgan a Black Mamba Humanimal in the story 'Donatello's Wedding disguises herself as Donatello's fiance an Asiatic Dragon Humanimal Belladonna Starchild and before the wedding night she violently has her way with a Ninja Turtle stealing his Ki Energy along wi…

Ah yes...I for one love the 'Character overhears evil plot while in the lavatory' I love simply that it shows the complete arbitrariness of fate particularly if the one overhearing is a completely uninvolved third party...Just had the bad luck to get diarrhea shortly before two conspirators came in to plot against someone the Janah in the lavatory may no even know personally I always love the 'Spanner in the Works' Trope tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SpannerInTheWorks "A common mistake peo…

I'm already starting to feel a tiny bit better, Thanks Ecinacia! I'm hoping some of the Art and Fiction will feature species that will be introduced in the new book don't get me wrong all the sneak peeks you've shown us are very nice but other than the Flamingo template they all feature species introduced in the first book...I want to see a Kiwi Sir'Hibas or a Pangolin Warrior

Of course the character in question isn't a Janah she is a Humanimal and Humanimals have their own unique culture Humanimals are similar to Cordwainer Smith's Underpeople in that they are the animal derived serfs/slaves of Humanity in a space faring future. (So many things about that sentence would leave a Janah's Blood running cold) When Si'Ni finally meets the Space Faring Humanimals and Modern Day Mutants on Earth 6 her judgement will be her unique judgement based upon her unique way of think…

I think it's time this thread got revived...Re-Reading the basic compendium after getting it for Christmas I would really like to read some of the actual folktales like about Kilarah's 'Amorous Adventures' and Hropa's 'Insatiable Appetite' while an earlier post Scott said the Gods should be 'unknowable' While I get what he's saying about Gods should be able to have actual Stats listed in game...Something truly 'unknowable' can't really have a personality either...In some ways Kramah and Kilarah'…

While Revenants of Dark Earth is when Dardunah officially debuts I would like everyone to know that it is a continuation of the Mutant Riots Arc and if you don't read what came before I lot of what will happened in the Revenants Story won't make sense to you Here in order is The Mutant Riots the first and admittedly weakest tale in the quartet it really is more set up than anything fanfiction.net/s/11377304/1/The-Mutant-Riots Dreams and Nightmares Come True takes place almost entirely in the Hum…

While the thing I'm most excited about is the completing of all the Animal Templates but looking at the sneak peek from Magic and Martial Arts featuring Greater Kellendu Style complete with a Mini-Fiction and relating the history of the style with the Cobra Lady Chandani, I'm guessing some styles are so old they don't have the same story with a single named founder things can be traced to but still it is becoming more intimate knowing more individual Janah, more than the Devah and the Heroes of …
