How does Dardunah View Same-Sex Relationships?

How does Dardunah View Same-Sex Relationships?

Once again I don't want to be inappropriate but to be fair, children's cartoons today are able to address same-sex relationships most notably Steven Universe but also The Legend of Korra and Adventure Time Autumnalnds Tooth and Claw features a lesbian relationship between a Warthog and Giraffe

Because in Historical India and Japan before the introduction of Christian Ideas, Same-Sex Relationships weren't as frowned upon as they were in the West

And it might be helpful, for any player who would simply like the role play merely the romance not anything erotic with a character of the same sex it might be helpful to know what the situation would be in Dardunah before becoming a same-sex courtesan
Good question... In the game of SHARD the concept of sexuality is a matter choice, so there is no definitive answer. ( The makers of SHARD have no negative aversion toward loving relationships in any form what so ever... other than to create situations which produce great fantasy and can be used to address social issues such as slavery, sexuality, the caste system, religion and any other possible societal dynamics in a safe and enjoyable setting)...
To elaborate further these things would depend upon the mindset of the GAME MASTER and the types of situations they are comfortable addressing with their own individual groups...
May I also say that in the same way that our own world deals with these issues there will be those who approve and those who do not with in the fictional elements of the game as well... These would likely vary from region to region from customs to customs and depend upon the reasons the relationship exists, for example if the goal of a particular relationship is understood to produce children such as in the case of rulers then they might be expected to choose a member of the opposite sex to fulfill the responsibilities associated with offspring, if the fiction supports that a ruler already has numerous heirs and does not have a goal of producing more....it may be equally acceptable to choose a member of the same sex to live out the remainder of their years as they see fit... of course as with all such things playing with the differences of opinion in both private and public settings can and will always be part of any fictional writing as it lends an air of believable depth to the story itself...
But in general in the game of SHARD the concept of same sex relationships would not be viewed in the same way as western society tends to view such things but rather be more fluid and depend more upon the particular situation than the act itself....
It is a good idea to use this way of thinking when regarding other such concepts such as the following:
Marrying a member of another caste. Marrying a member of another race. Marrying a member of another faith. Marrying someone too young or old....
all these things will typically be handled the same way which is to say with a mix of acceptance and distaste based upon the particulars of the those who are asked their opinions on such matters, and in situations where these opinions are able to be enforced due to personal or political power it could create situations for exciting game play and the approval or disapproval of the population based upon the presence of the individual in question... so I hope this answers your questions and helps you to contemplate adventures which will challenge you to write fiction which addresses these very real issues in a tasteful manner and provide a fictional outlet for exploring a world in which inclusion is acceptable , except when it is not for a particular reason...

excellent way to make me think about this subject, since in most cases we largely tend to allow the details of personal relationships to remain obscure due to the nature of appealing to a younger audience...

      Good night.
