  • Role Creators Program?

    Zlatohrbitek - - General Discussion

Yeah, I'm very curious myself to find out how adaptable it will be to different systems. No worries about when you get the chance to respond, if it all. I just figured I'd share that in case it might be useful, since I thought of Shard when I read about Role. I'm glad to hear it's worth a look!

I ran into this Kickstarter and thought that the product could be awesome if it turns out as they want it to: Role RPG Platform Maybe the Role Creators Program would be interesting to look into as a way of selling and exposing people to Shard once the platform is out? It looks like something I'll strongly consider using myself, at least, especially during the Covid-19 era when live games are scarce!

I'm also bummed that we won't get to see you and play another one of your awesomely cinematic games at FC 2020, but I'm glad it's because you're in the late stages of such a promising project. I certainly understand being consumed by work, and I'm looking forward to the World Guide as well as to whichever conventions you can make next! We'll always look out for you at our regular ones (FC, Anthro NW, and Furlandia, and I'm hoping to start being able to catch some more of them in the coming years…

Quote from griffin: “We are currently putting all of our creative energy and thoughts entirely towards the goal of completing the World Guide to provide role playing content for our fans. Because of this, we have spoken little about our plans for up and coming conventions. If I were to answer I would say more than likely we will be present for the next Further Confusion, as my benefactors Andrew Bowman and Scott Jones actually introduced me to my first experience at the convention last year duri…

Quote from griffin: “Man I am glad you enjoyed yourself and had the opportunity to experience one of the best Game Masters of all time! ” Thanks! It was a major highlight of an exceptionally awesome con. Are you going to the next Further Confusion (I don't remember whether I asked)? Or any chance of a Furlandia some time? I ask selfishly; that's my home-town con.

Quote from griffin: “Did you happen to get any pictures of yourself playing our game during the con that you would like to share? ” D'oh! Tser and I didn't think to take any. But there was one player at the table who took some cell phone videos and asked all of us if they could share them, so there probably are some clips posted somewhere by now -- unfortunately, I don't remember where! x_x

Wow, that game was awesome. Tser and I have been raving about it to each other. We played the attempt to help the young lion (Hakmut?) attain his First Victory. And no, I couldn't resist the temptation to play Dastánah again. Did I mention she can sing? Turns out she can shoot a bit too....

I was thrilled to see Scott here at Anthro NW, and to hear that he's planning to run a couple of games over the weekend. Tser and I are planning to attend the Sunday one, and I'm hugely looking forward to it. In my first game at Further Confusion, I played Dastánah, and on one wing I feel I should branch out -- but on the other, can I resist the compulsion to play singing birds that I've developed as an aaraokocra bard in Tser's D&D 5e game?

  • Hello! I'm Zlatohrbitek, an attendee of Further Confusion 2019 who learned about Shard yesterday from the Dealer's Den at Further Confusion. My partner Tserisa and I were immediately impressed enough by the mechanics, the gorgeous art, and the representatives of the game at the table to buy the two core books right away and sign up for a playtest last night. I was the fox who played Dastánah the mockingbird, and sang "Sitar Man" for a crowded inn; Tser was the dragon who played Gramír the wolf, …
