Quote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “One thing I thought about in regards to the plants of Dardunah while as mentioned in the Farming section there are vegetables analagous to the ones we have on Earth, the mention of 'almond stuffed pastries' in Nilam's culture section got me thinking, did some Earth plants also come to Dardunah? You know as food for the zoo animals? ” That could very well be possible, if you like the idea of specific Earth plants being in your campaign, and/or have story ideas b…

I want to address a question that has been asked on a number of occasions. Are there ways of getting physical copies of our products outside of the United States, while avoiding the unfortunate shipping fees associated with international shipments... Some have hoped to be able to get them from Drive-Thru RPG, which in recent years has set themselves up to offer various titles as "print-on-demand" offerings. At the time we set up our account with Drive-Thru for our earlier products a long while b…

Talons of Kramah
PostQuote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “So...Hopefully have that to look forward to, learning about what each of the Talons lost in exchange for their powers I find it interesting that taste was one sense lost but not smell ” Yes,...that's right. Jvalah's sense of smell remained, but her mouth was forever filled with nothing but the taste of blood once she came into her full powers as a Talon... The aspects of what they lost were based more on mysticism and iconic meaning than they were limits to phy…

Quote from Whill: “Quote from Scott Jones: “If you'd like to order it directly from our publisher, just use this link! studio2publishing.com/products/shard-rpg-world-guide ” I did order it directly from the publisher. It arrived very quickly, well-packaged, and in good condition. It's taken me a few weeks to go through it. Amazing! This is a massive tome with a dense, four-page TOC. It is definitely the thickest RPG book on my bookshelf. The amount of information in this book is difficult to bel…

Talons of Kramah
PostYes! You are quite correct! At first, after the arrival of the Children of the Great Mother and Father, these first jánah (the "people", who included all the Devah spoken of in the Partakám, and many thousands more), blessed as they were (according to lore) by their holy parents with practical agelessness, became the progenitors of the rest of the peoples of Dárdünah to follow (who were certainly long-lived in the earliest days, but were nonetheless "mortal" in comparison to the "Firstborn Jánah…

Talons of Kramah
PostQuote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “Yeah I read that part just the ambiguaty left me very confused like OK which is she? ” Well, you had mentioned that you were disappointed because the one Talon you thought was Paksin "was actually a Vajrah", so I just wanted to clarify there's no reason for disappointment because we never define "what she actually was" in the text (nor was it our intention to do so for the Talons), except for within the scholarly treatise on Magári history, which still insists …

Talons of Kramah
PostQuote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “So after finally getting the World Guide and reading it, my shock at finding the Eagle Talon described in the first book was actually a Fox...Is it too much to say I was disapointed since the rest of the Talons were Vajrah the one Paksin member was actually a Vajrah ” I'm assuming you're talking about Jvalah... Please don't despair! The lore, of what jenu any particular Talon of Kramah was, changes wildly depending on what culture you're asking (like some of th…

Quote from Devah Dancer: “I am so crazy excited to hear this! This is definitely going to be one of my 1st stops in the Exhibit Hall at Gen Con. Do you have a price estimation so I can factor the world guide into my Gen Con budget? Thank you again so much! ” Hey there!!! I'm so sorry I didn't end up seeing this before Gen Con!!!! I feel like a total goober!!! That last month before we left for the show was so hectic that I could barely pull myself out of my tasks to even look at the forums, and …

The final core book for Shard has been completed in all its 452-page glory, the printing has been finished, and the books are on their way here! They'll be arriving just in time for folks at Gen Con to pick theirs up early, and then they'll become available to purchase from either our website, from Studio 2 Publishing, or from Amazon shortly after that, most likely by the 10th of August! We are so very proud of this particular accomplishment, because it represents what seemed to be a near-imposs…

Here we have a fun image of the four rulers of the four Principalities of Visedhárah... To the far left we have Prince Sebentar Tinggál - (male green mamba, mid–40s) Ruler of the western principality of Kiribarat which borders Rákbar. Despite his reputation for cold detachment, the prince is renowned for his grace in motion and decisiveness of action. If he had one vice, it is having no apparent vices at all. He is as temperate as he is lithe. To the middle left there is Prince Berjalan Menyasar…

Quote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “So...How close is the World Guide to being finished? ” We have finally completed the "World Guide" and it's now in the middle of its printing process!!! The books should be arriving in the US by mid July! It's so exciting for us to finally have our completed core fiction book, which at last fulfills the three-book core-rules set! Even now we are working on the six new domo-adventures we'll be using to showcase the game at upcoming Gen Con this year!

Quote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “Finally I can see the pictures! Man that was a heck of a long wait! ” Yes,...that's because I'm the only one who has the power to make these visible (since they're on my computer), and I'm in a nearly continuous time-crunch as I try to get these last art tasks finished before turning in the files of the World Guide to our printer at the end of this month... I barely have time to breathe, much less attend to the Forums as much as they (and you folks) deserve... …

Here's another excellent oil painting created by Richard Fox as a header for the entire chapter concerning Countries and Cultures! Though not specifically meant to be any particular city in the world, we feel this image certainly represents the general "feel" of many of the population centers Dárdünah has to offer!dardunah.com/forum4/index.php/…1784a53b496b905b25fceef49

Quote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “One thing I just thought of about bathhouses, the difficulties of massaging certain Jenu like porcupines, hedgehogs and certain spiky lizards like the Thorny Devil ” No doubt! I'm sure there would be specifically skilled individuals working at such places to handle those more physiologically-difficult clients!

Quote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “Hoping that one of the peeks will involve a country with a female ruler which I believe someone told me was one of the Sarpah nations ” Oh yes! There are actually several nations that have female rulers! I'll see about giving a sneak peak at a few of those soon! (once I have images of both the header for the country as well as an image of the leader herself).

Quote from Teenage Mutant Sarpah: “Um...I don't see any picture ” That's super freaky!!! It was there, to me, when I first posted it! Let's try it again. Hmmn!!! For some reason it's blocking our own image from our own Facebook page!!! Here's at least, is a link you can look at. Please let me know if you can see the image in this link... The city of Sadahm Ah! I see what happened! I needed to add it as an "Attachment" instead of adding it as an "Image"... Ugh! Should be fixed now above (please l…

Tishinia Header Art!!! Hey! Check out one of the recent pieces created for one of our country write-ups in the World Guide! This is our header image for the nation of Tishinia showcasing a wide view of its capital city Sadahm, painted by our good friend Richard Fox as an oil on canvas. We're only about two months from finishing all the art and turning in the final files for the printers, so we're both really nervous and really excited! dardunah.com/forum4/index.php/…1784a53b496b905b25fceef49
