On page 162 of the basic compendium, the first full line of the second column reads:
"At this point, the character (or N.P.C.) whose turn it is will now begin performing their Actions."
This is the only use of the abreviation, 'N.P.C.' rather than 'NPC' I could find in the book. It's probably better to be consistent.
